PA3 Back to School Event: Getting Teacher Evaluations Right
On October 25, 2012, a crowd of about 40 Tigers
(PA3 members and alumni of the Teacher Prep program) gathered together to hear
a lively panel discussion led by Timothy Matheney '89, who is the Director of
Evaluation for NJ Department of Education. Other panelists included Kathy
Chesmel '85, Ph.D, John Yi '03, Kwame Ivery '93, and Sarah Paine
'08. The topic of the discussion was "Getting Teacher Evaluations
Right." Thank you to our panelists and to all who attended!
Raising support for local Trenton Schools: As
part of the event, PA3 asked our members to consider a financial or school
supplies donation that would go towards teachers at local schools,
including Trenton High West, Trenton Central High School, and Ewing High
School.
Our sincere appreciation goes out to all who donated resources to support our local teachers! PA3 members donated $1,110 in cash contributions as well as a plethora of school supplies (including binders, paper, markers, graphing calculators, and more). In addition, PA3 was pleased to provide a matching gift of $2,000, for a total cash donation of $3,110. An awesome effort!

Triangle Show!
Triangle Weekend is November 16-18, 2012, including shows Friday and Saturday at 8 and a new Sunday matinee at 2pm.
Tickets are now on sale at the McCarter Box office, 609-258-ARTS,
www.triangleshow.com.
This year's show is "Tree's Company, Forest's a Crowd."
We like hike, and so will you! Leave civilization behind and follow Princeton's Famous Triangle Show into the great outdoors, where the only limits are your imagination and how well you can outrun a bear. We're off on a rollicking trip into the woods (though not Into the Woods, for copyright reasons), for a raucous night of punchlines, puns, and jokes by the tons, plus Triangle’s trademark singing, dancing, and all-guy kickline! Pack your hiking boots, a basket of goodies, and most importantly your First Aid kit, 'cause Tree's Company will leave you in stitches!
Buy your tickets now before they sell out!

Nov 16 First Friday Lunch - RESCHEDULED
First Friday Lunch at the Nassau Club - November 16th, 2012 - RESCHEDULED
Join us for First Fridays,
a monthly recurring event for undergraduate and graduate Princeton
alumni, graduate students, and parents. On the first Friday of each
month, area alumni and their guests meet to enjoy a prix fixe luncheon
buffet at the Nassau Club in downtown Princeton. As a special bonus
for PA3, a Princeton PhD candidate presents his/her work to the group in
this informal setting. Topics vary monthly and are always interesting!
This month, we will be joined by Allan Doyle, a specialist in 19th century
European art with a particular focus on French Romantic painting (1800-1850).
Allan's dissertation is centered on Michelangelo's afterlife in French art during
this period and includes many well-known (and some less-known) artists of the
time (Delacroix, Gérôme, Ingres, etc.).Specially priced at $25/person (or $30 if you choose not to pay PA3's annual dues),
lunch includes the Nassau Club’s full buffet as well as a complementary
beverage (wine, beer, soft drink). Pre-registration is required.
>> Looking forward to seeing you...in your orange and black! <<
